Maj. Gen. Paul Knapp gave a welcome speech during the Cybersecurity Summit.
One of the focuses during the summit was how cybersecurity messaging needs to continually evolve to address arising threats and emerging technology. “We have to establish real time threat information sharing goals and objectives, protect the privacy of sensitive information, and provide ongoing education to our citizens and customers on how to stay safe,” said Trina Zanow, Wisconsin’s Chief Information Officer. “A large percentage of attacks begin with a phishing email. Now with the increased usage of generative AI by bad actors, we need to provide better user tools and guidance on what to look out for. We need to maintain good cyber hygiene in both our professional and personal lives to combat these ever-changing cyber threats."
