The Integrated Primary Prevention (IPP) Team uses a public health approach to prevent harmful behaviors:
- Suicide
- Substance Misuse
- Harassment
- Sexual Assault
- Domestic Abuse
- Workplace Violence
- Child Abuse and Neglect
The objective on primary prevention is to use data to drive evidence-based practices to stop violence before it happens by identifying contributing factors. Research indicates that different domains of violence share common contributing risk and protective factors.
The IPP team recommends comprehensive policies, programs, and practices to promote a positive command climate, healthy culture, and safe working environment for all our members and their families.
