High stakes: Wisconsin Guard helicopter crew conducts search and rescue training with local agencies

JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. — Wisconsin Army Guard Black Hawk crew part of multi-agency search and rescue training.

Soldiers from the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 32nd “Red Arrow” Infantry Brigade Combat Team conduct a combat patrol wearing multiple integrated laser engagement system (MILES) gear June 8 during a rotation at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Johnson, La. Wisconsin Guard medical team takes on unique mission during JRTC training rotation

Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 135th Medical Company leads multi-state effort to operate Joint Readiness Training Center aid station.

All 112 graduating cadets earned their high school equivalency diploma and up to 16 college credits. The voluntary Challenge Academy is a cost-free alternative education program that reshapes the lives of students 16 to 19 years old who are at risk of not graduating high school. Challenge Academy graduates equipped to face more promising future

MAUSTON, Wis. — 112 cadets from 40 counties graduate from Wisconsin National Guard Challenge Academy

Medical staff from Aurora Medical Center-Summit’s emergency and trauma center wait for a Wisconsin Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopter to arrive so they can move notional patients to the emergency room during a mass casualty exercise May 31. The scenario called for a single Black Hawk crew to medically evacuate three victims critically injured by a building collapse. A Black Hawk can transport up to four litter-borne patients, as opposed to civilian air ambulances which carry only one patient. One of the mock patients would later be transferred by Black Hawk to Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.
